My name is Carly Schieffer, and I serve as the conference chair for the Iowa Music Educators Association’s professional development conference. Preparations have been well underway in order to provide learning, connections, and FUN 🙂.
All sessions have been selected reflecting the current needs of Iowa music students. Our world is constantly changing, and attending the professional development conference will present the best teaching strategies in 2025. Make plans to attend November 20-22, 2025. Sessions have been chosen based on diverse music education strands including best practice, innovative, choral, band, orchestral, technology, and advocacy. All are invited to attend, grow, and learn together whether you are a pre-service teacher or entering your 40th year teaching. Our IMEA editor Dan Black has assembled an impressive array of the wide variety of topics that will be covered throughout our three days together.
